By L. Cassidy
I purchased this tea kettle from an Amazon.com seller on 07/26/2011 and received it on or about 08/01/2011. The one thing that I like the most about this tea kettle is that it boils water very quickly, even when filled full (near the bottom of the spout on the inside of the kettle). Another reviewer complained about it rusting. I have not had a problem with it rusting or observed any rust on the inside or outside of the kettle; and our water is very hard. I hand wash the tea kettle and keep water in it all the time, so as to make sure that I do not scorch or burn it, since there is copper sandwiched in the stainless steel bottom. That same reviewer also complained about having to hold the trigger lever to pour water out. I do not see a problem with that, since it takes very little effort to open the whistler cap on the spout as you grip the handle. I like that the whistler cap closes automatically as soon as you release the trigger lever. I believe that this tea kettle has a nice design and is well made, and I am happy with it. The only thing that could have made it any better is if it costed me less money, but its price is on par with other stainless steel kettles. Based on my experience, I doubt that you will be disappointed in it, if you purchase it.

By R. Leuser
After looking at the reviews for dozens of teakettles I finally settled on this one. Once I had placed my order I was questioning if I selected the best one after all, so I was eagerly awaiting delivery for the moment of truth. When I first took it out of the packaging I was very pleased by the size of this kettle. It has a nice wide base that is the perfect fit on the large burner of our glass top stove. As a result of the slightly over sized base is heats very quickly without any heat loss. The surface has a bright polish with a mirror like gleam. When the water is ready the whistle is nothing special, just a standard kettle noise with plenty of volume. After you pour your water you need to remove the kettle from any heat because even the cooling burner that is turned off has enough heat to keep the whistle blowing and there is no way to keep the spout cover in the up position without holding it that way, not a big deal just worth noting. The handle is perfect! I was not sure about the grip position from the photos, however it is ideal for pouring water. The handle stays completely cool as does the trigger for the spout cover. I love the trigger to open the spout! No more burning my hand trying to quickly open a spout cover. The cover comes off very easy for filling and has a satisfying -click- when you put it on. Obviously the handle is slightly in the way for filling as it cannot be hinged due to the style. But this is not a big deal I just tilt it slightly for filling. I am one of those bad people that never dump out the water after I make tea. So far this is not an issue with this kettle. No rusting or any indication that this could be a problem in the future. Overall I am very pleased with this tea kettle. If you are obsessively looking on Amazon for the perfect teakettle look no further, you have found the kettle you should buy!!!
Update: After one month of use I noticed that this item has a very small leak in one of the joints. After several hours sitting on the stove when it had water in it I would have a little puddle of water around the base. I opted to return this kettle to Amazon and received a full refund. After much deliberation I decided to purchase another one of these kettles figuring that the leak was just a fluke. The replacement came and thankfully it is perfect. I have not had any more issues with leaking. It was a minor hassle having to return this item and get a replacement, but it was well worth it. Even considering the inconvenience of having to return one defective kettle I am still keeping it at five stars. If you decide to purchase one just make sure all of the seals are good. Overall I am still very pleased, I have finally found the prefect kettle!!!

By Oscar's Mom
If you're read kettle reviews, you know how difficult it is to find a good one. This one seemed to have great reviews, and when I received it, it looked shiny, well-designed, and the boiled water poured out without sputtering...
However, with less than two weeks of use, the rim of the lid started to get rusty! Thinking it might be a fluke, I used Bar Keepers Friend and removed all the rust on the lid and the rim of the kettle. I dry out the kettle at the end of each day for storage. Within several days, again, the rust was back!
I can't see how this kettle could possibly be surgical stainless steel - I have returned it and am trying out the top-rated Circulon kettle - why is it so difficult to find quality products at any price?
